Spanish ID Card Renewal

To request an appointment for the renewal or creation of the Spanish ID Card, call to the Council of A Guarda at 986 61 00 00 or request an appointment directly at the information desk on the ground floor of the Town Hall building.

Attention: The concession of a previous appointment on a date of the specific appointment calendar is subject to the places available in the same.

First Registration

• It is essential the physical presence of the person to whom the Spanish ID Card will be issued, as well as the payment in cash of the established fee.
• Birth certificate issued by the Civil Registry.
• A recent colour-sized card photo.
• Certificate or registration stamp of the City Council.
• When the holder of the Spanish ID Card is less than 14 years old or incapable, it will be carried out in the presence of parents or legal guardians, or persons empowered by them.

Renewal of the Spanish ID Card

• It is essential the physical presence of the person to whom the DNI will be issued, as well as the payment in cash of the established fee. The persons who renew the DNI for the change of affiliation and address data are exempt from paying the fee.
•  A recent color-sized card photo.
• In case of change of address, certificate or registration stamp of the City Council where the applicant has his domicile.
• If the registration in the Municipal Register has been carried out in the last two months, it is necessary to provide the certificate or reference stamp that is referenced.
• In case of variation of affiliation data, the Certificate of Civil Registry is required (issued with a maximum of six months before the date of the application of the DNI)
• When the holder of the DNI is less than 14 years old or incapable, it will be carried out in the presence of parents or guardians, or persons empowered by them.
• The stravio, sustration, destruction or deterioration of the DNI, entails the obligation of the owner to provide immediately a duplicate with the same validity with the document to which it replaces.
• The DNI must be renewed within the last 90 days of validity.

The time to collect the DNI (second date) is from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

In case there is no day for the collection of the ID for a month, it must be on a collection date of the following month.

The registration or renewal rate of the Spanish ID Card is 12’00 €.
