The Department of Culture of A Guarda Council has set the mission to disseminate and support the different cultural manifestations that are in and outside the municipality, crating a cultural offer that allows the population of the municipality and the region to access to cultural and leisure contents in their own territory, as well as to be knowledgeable and participants in their traditions, idiosyncrasy and their own cultural manifestations.
The main protagonists of this cultural offer, leave from the citizenship itself, organized in the numerous associations and groups that giving responses to their own concerns, they organize activities, events and festivals. As well as the local inventors, numerous in our town: writers, painters, sculptors, filmmakers and musicians of all kinds, all of them show the important creative potential.
