YOUTH (Municipal Youth Information Office- OMIX)

Information is the first step to achieve the active and responsible participation of young people in society. The OMIX (Municipal Youth Information Office) performs its work to become an information, advisory and documentation tool in all those issues that interest and affect youth. These issues are:

• Leisure
• Cards
• Training and employment
• Grants and scholarships
• Housing
• European Youth
• Volunteering
• Camps and work camps
• …

On the other hand, this service tries to plan and organize activities for the promotion and revitalization of the youngest population in the municipality.

The office works in coordination with other departments and/or municipal services such as: social services, family education, CIM (Women’s Center Information), employment agent and local development, … It is also part of the Galician Network of Information and Youth Documentation.
