The existence of a specific councillorship of Heritage differentiated from the Cultural one (which has traditionally been subordinated) is justified by the enormous historical, cultural and ethnographic potential that A Guarda has.

In addition to the Trega Mountain, which due to its archeological, landscape and tourism importance deserves a differentiated dedication, from the Heritage councillorship we aim to put in value the greatest amount of possible historical and ethnographic resources, disseminate them to residents and visitors and ensure the conservation of those singular elements of the historical heritage common to all neighbors.

Elaborate routes that pass through places of special cultural value, to put in value all the potentialities of Trega Mountain, to publicize the Castle of Sta. Cruz, promoting knowledge and research on resources, recovering and conserving all the greatest possible amount of them, are the actions for which this department works.
