The City Council of Guarda organizes one year more adult literacy and training activities.
The Basic Training for Adults is focused on people over 18 years of age who want to broaden their knowledge, promote social and employment or access secondary education.
The levels I and II, both composed by reduced groups, are provided.
Level I corresponds to the skills of writing and mathematical calculus, in order to enhance those actions that lead to a better personal and professional development of adults. It is made up of people of more advanced age, between the 56 and the 67 years.
Level II, the most necessary within the range of education, in addition to offering a general or basic education, allows access to secondary education, that is, it serves as a basis for all people who want to prepare free tests to obtain the Title of Graduate in Secondary Education by submitting to extraordinary tests in June and September.
This activity is developed for seven months.
Classes begin in February and end in September.
All people interested in participating in these courses can register in the Department of Local Development of the City Council in January, being of free cost.
The place where the activity is carried out is the old school”M. RODRÍQUEZ SINDE “, R / Puerto Rico, 7 A Guarda.
The schedule is Afternoon-Evening, compatible with the students’ working hours.
The Final Evaluation of this training activity is very satisfactory (the percentage of those approved in Secondary Education is very high in the two extraordinary calls of June and September).
The aid for the realization of adult literacy and training activities, are part of the grants of the Department of Education and University Organization of the Xunta de Galicia and are co-financed by the European Social Fund.
